In fact, Kevin heart dropped the Academy Awards due to continuous controversial regarding his history of homophobic jokes. Regardless, the Oscars 2020 was a success thanks to various reasons. Eminem’s Performance
Despite the allegations of being absent from the industry, Eminem still delivered quite the show. Marshall Mathers performed his most successful track ”8 mile road”, choosing the song “Lose Yourself”. The rapper humorously thanked the oscars for having him, apologizing about not coming in 2003 when his album won him Detroit MC Oscar award. Needless to say, Eminem’s performance was the trendiest moment of the oscars on social media
Brad Pitt’s First Acting Award
Brad Pitt’s speech was picked a top moment on social media. In fact, after wining the best supporting actor for his role in Once Upon a Time, the actor made sure to speak his thoughts.
Brad used his 45 seconds of speech time to point out political wrongs. As a reference to U.S Senate giving less time for John Bolton to testify. he concluded saying that maybe more movies should target these things so that ”adults can do the right thing.”
Best Actor Goes to the Joker

Undoubtedly, one of the most awaited moment of the Oscars. The best actor award went to Joaquin Phoenix for his marvelous interpretation of the Joker. Although most of us expected this well-deserved win, Joaquin also made sure to use his speech time to raise awareness about injustice, inequality and compassion.
”Parasite” Is The Movie of the Year
Finally, one of the biggest moments of the night was the major sweep of Parasite. The South Korean film took home best picture, making it the first ever non-english winner. In addition, the director, Bong walked away with 3 more awards, for best director, best international film and best original screenplay. And guess what? The public also reacted positively to the massive win, praising it all night on twitter and Facebook.
