TikTok has recently become the best source of viral content, with many users bringing back songs to create some of the most crazy, hilarious challenges. The most recent to become popular on the app is to the tune of “Work” by Iggy Azalea, a hit song that was released back in 2014. The challenge? Wear your own version of “Louboutins” to the intro of the song.
Louboutin Inspiration
As witnessed in the above TikTok version, people have been making their own versions of Louboutins at home, such as these lovely pair of plastic oven mitts. The movements and steps mimic that of Iggy Azalea in the actual video, where she slowly saunters down a dessert road in her own pair of Louboutins. However, the majority of us don’t have the dough to put down hundreds of dollars on a pair of heels so… homemade versions will have to do.
Creativity At Its Finest
We have to admit, the creativity that was put into some of these videos is undeniable. One of the best ones might be this version, in which a guy taped carrots to his heels. The video has gotten over 1.4 million views to date. To be honest, in the distance shows it does truly look like they could be stilettos. Considering some of the crazy stuff we’ve seen on the runway, we wouldn’t be surprised if a modified version was in some designer’s upcoming fall collection.
The Lengths People Will Go…
While perusing the many videos that people made for the challenge, it does make you wonder the lengths people go to participate in a challenge. This group of friends all had to scavenge their houses for the most random of items for this parade of home-made Louboutins. Truly quite a collection!
Iggy Azalea’s Response
At first, the Australian star was not a big fan of the Louboutins challenge, but it grew on her. She even retweeted some of her favorites from her twitter page. Regardless, it is great press for Iggy Azalea, whose new album “In My Defense” is set to release this week. Who knows what new fashion inspiration this album will provide us!
