It’s official! The coronavirus mania has reached Hollywood, and the first victim is Tom Hanks. The actor tested positively to the virus-of-the-hour, along with his wife Rita Wilson. Both of them are in hospital isolation, and not allowed to make any physical contact with any one else.
While the authorities are still working on tracing who they made contact with in recent weeks. The couple is in Australia, where they were present at a concert in Sydney Opera House.

Hollywood’s megastar Tom Hanks announced the news in a very unusual way. In fact, he went on Instagram, and super calmly announced that his wife Rita and him and coronavirus positive, and that they were resorting to medical advise on how to handle the situation.
”Hello folks, Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive. We Hanks will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires” Published Tom on his Instagram. ”
Production On Hanks’ Movie Stopped

Obviously, as a safety precaution, the set of tom Hanks’s coming movie Elvis has been stopped. In fact, all team members and cast are getting checked themselves, and recommended self-isolation in order not to spread the virus in positive cases.
In addition to this, authorities say that the couple might have been in contact with over 200 people at the concert. While working on identifying them, the panic spread among the Hollywood community.

Coronavirus cases in America are on the rise, and so are safety measures implemented by authorities. Recently, due a confirmed case for a student, Michigan State University suspended all in-person classes until April 4th, in addition to the suspension of several sports events. As a consequence, there are many speculation around an eventual economic crisis if the virus is not contained.
Although Tom Hanks and songwriter Rita Wilson are the first announced and confirmed case of Coronavirus, many celebs are now considering suspending or postponing their events due the outbreak.
